Year 6 levers dinner

last night I went to the Year 6 levers dinner at south hornby school and we had pasta salad,potato salad,ham,chicken and buns. The dinner was deleshas then we had desert and here´s what we had for desert. we had fruit salad,French vanilla ice cream and pavlova . Here are some pichers.

Today we read a poem called a shark can be a pet by ken nesbitt. The poem was about having a shark as a pet. I liked the poem because I like sharks.

The 3 little pigs and the big bad wolf.

To day in literacy we have been making a wanted poster for the wolf and here it is i hope you like it. We read three different  versions of the three little pigs. As a group we described what the wolf and the pigs were saying.

Today we watched a video called 'caterpillars shoes'.I had to draw a picture of a Caterpillar on a leaf and Here is my drawing I hope you like it.I found it easy because I like drawing.!!!!!!!!!!

In maths today I treid a sudoku with shapes. It was hard. I tried one with numbers. I will practise.

Making boats

In inquiry we are learning about the design process. The design process is where you plan,
design and test a product or theory. Sometimes when you test it , it doesn't work and you
have to start at the beginning again to see how you would make it better. Mrs McG gave
us a challenge. We had to plan,design+build a straw raft to float with 50g of weight on it.
we could only use on meter of masking tape. Our raft failed 0 times because with left some
holes for air to get and we did some research about how rafts float and found that there
need to be no holes. We found the challenge easy, we found the designing part challenging
because i'm not good at designing stuff.
